What is Character Education?

Character Education is the "deliberate effort to develop virtues that are good for the individuals and good for society."  Developing positive character traits among youth is vital in today's society.  It is the desire of Hibriten High School to infuse these desirable traits into the climate and daily routine of school life.

The objective of good virtues is based on the fact that they:

bullet

Affirm our human dignity

bullet

Promote the well-being and happiness of the individual

bullet

Serve the common good

bullet

Define our rights and obligations

bullet

Meet the classical ethical test (Would you want to be treated this way?)
