First Annual HHS AAA Induction, October 2006
HIBRITEN HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Established 2005
Hibriten High School, in conjunction with the Athletic Department and a number of volunteers, is pleased to announce the establishment of the Hibriten High School Athletic Alumni Association. The primary goals of the association are to help maintain a quality athletic program at Hibriten High School and to establish an Athletic Hall of Fame. We invite you to join us in this exciting endeavor.
Mission
The purpose of the association is to provide alumni of Hibriten athletics updated information about current Hibriten teams. In addition, the HHS athletic alumni association plans to host special events throughout the year including receptions, alumni/alumnae games, and golf outings. The intent of the association is to also raise money on an annual basis to help support the capital costs associated with each sports program. These funds are used for assistance with the HHS Athletic Hall of Fame, the HHS Booster Club with capital costs related to training, equipment, travel for team competitions, and other administrative expenses. All association funds are considered gifts to Hibriten High School Alumni Association and the sports programs. All expenditures of the associations are governed by departmental policy for compliance with Hibriten High School and NCHSAA requirements.
All association members
receive the monthly email newsletters and updates of an individual sport
throughout the year. In addition, members receive invitations to special
events, receptions, golf outings and more. All Sport Association
contributions go to the enhancement of the student-athlete experience at
Hibriten High School and are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
The Hibriten High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to honor those persons who have made outstanding contributions to Hibriten High School Athletics. Its purpose is to perpetuate the memory of those persons who have brought honor, distinction, and excellence to Hibriten High School in athletics.
Athletic Hall of Fame
Each year the HHS Athletic Alumni Association honors a select group of both HHS athletes and athletic professional staff through election to the HHS Athletic Hall of Fame. These honorees are permanently recognized on the Athletic Hall of Fame Wall to be erected in Jeff Storie Memorial Stadium and act as a continuing reminder of the importance of athletes and athletics to the students, faculty, and alumni of Hibriten High School.
