Rules for Hibriten High School Softball Team 2009
As your daughter's softball coach, my main goal is to work, train, and support your daughter in an effort to help her reach her highest potential as a person and softball player. Since we are only able to have one varsity team, your daughter may not always get the desired playing time until her skills improve or we as a coaching staff feel she can best help the team. It is very important that you support your daughter in all aspects of the game. In order to maintain a positive, fulfilling environment that is conductive to her improvement, we are asking for your cooperation in following the team rules and regulations listed below. Please sign and date this form and return as soon as possible.
All players must meet eligibility requirements in grades, attendance, and submission of all necessary paper work, (pledges, drug testing, physical, and school insurance) before they can practice or play.
Each player will follow all athletic guidelines for Caldwell County athletes.
Players are expected to give 100% at all times and have a winning attitude.
All practices will be closed to parents, friends, and relatives to avoid any unnecessary coaching coaching, conflicts, or problems between parents, players, and the coaching staff.
All people who attend the games will be expected to demonstrate good sportsmanship and behavior. Any behavior seen as unsportsmanlike will result in an immediate dismissal from the game.
No food or dinks will be brought into the dugout or onto the field during games. Water will be provided and players can bring whatever else they need with them.
No jewelry is permitted on the softball field at practice or games. Players must wear their hats in practices and games.
If a player misses two unexcused practices she will be asked to turn in her uniform resulting in a dismissal from the team. In addition, if a player is absent from practice the day before a game she will not start and depending on the reason may not play. All players are expected to arrive on time for practices/games and stay for the entirety. Any unexcused tardiness to games or practices may result in extra conditioning or suspension, depending on the circumstances (coaches discretion).
If you need to notify me regarding your daughter for any reason, please contact me at school at 758-7376 between 8:00-9:28am
Let the coaches coach, the players play, and fans be fans.
We look forward to working with you to accomplish these goals.
Head Coach: Jim Blanton
Assistant Coach: Mike McEllen
Athletic Director: Chuck Cannon
