HHS Band District Auditions

Northwest District Honors Band auditions were held at Central Davidson High School in Lexington. Students selected are awarded the honor of participating in the district band clinic next month at ASU. Congratulations to the following Hibriten Band students for being selected: Jaquain Sloan, Gala Hewitt, Isaac Harmon, Zach Tanner, Meredith Transou, Kyle McFarland, Olivia Triplett, and Josh Collins. Of the Hibriten students selected, the following auditioned well enough to be eligible for NC State Honors Band auditions in March: Josh Collins, Jaquain Sloan, Gala Hewitt, Meredith Transou, and Olivia Triplett. Congratulations to these students on this outstanding achievement.

Congratulations to Ashley Baker and Tylisha Dixon, who were selected to participate in the Mars Hill Chorus. Approximately 1000 high school students auditioned to be a part of the 175 voice choir. Ashley and Tylisha are both sophomores at Hibriten.
