🐾Panther Reminders🐾
It is important for students to attend school each day and be on time for student academic success. Tardy and absence policies will be enforced. Please see below for tardy and absence reminders. Please see the student handbook for more information.
- Students with more than 40 unexcused total class absences, 10 all-day unexcused absences, or 10 unexcused tardies for the entire year are NOT eligible to attend prom.
- 3 tardy in one class equals 1 absence for exam exemption purposes.
- 6 tardies equals loss of driving privileges for 5 days.
- 7 tardies equals loss of driving privileges for 10 days.
- 8 tardies equals loss of driving privileges for the remainder of the semester.
If students are absent they need to bring a hand written note from their parent or guardian and upload that note to the Excusing a Class Absence Google Form using the QR codes provided in the front lobby or at the bottom of the website homepage. Notes must be uploaded within 5 days of an absence to be counted as an excused absence.
Chromebook Reminders
It also important that students bring their school Chromebook or personal device everyday to school with their charger, charged and ready go go. Much of their classwork is done on a device and teachers will not allow students to use their cell phones as a device to do class work. If a student needs a school Chromebook they can see Mrs. Johnson in the media center for a Chromebook check-out form.
📝 Pre-SAT 📝
Hibriten High School will host the PSAT for any 9th, 10th, or 11th grader who would like to take it on October 3, 2024. The cost is $22.00, payable with cash or check. Students can sign up and pay in the office with Mrs. Angie by Friday, September 28th.
- The PSAT is nearly identical to the SAT.
- It has fewer questions and is a shorter time but gives you an idea of what your SAT score would be.
- The PSAT will allow you to target areas of weakness before taking the SAT.
